How do I calibrate Planum?
Open the Triple level, Inclinometer or Camera level screen, place your device on your reference surface and tap the calibration button. Readings then start from zero on this surface. To go back to the default reference, choose “Reset calibration” in the menu.
The reading doesn’t look right. What should I do?
Remove any case that isn’t flat, place your device on a clean, stable surface and calibrate again. Readings depend on your device’s sensors: Planum is a practical tool, not a certified measuring instrument.
Why can’t I see the camera image?
Planum needs access to the camera to show it. Allow camera access for Planum in Settings, then open the instrument again.
How do I turn the sound on or off?
On the Circular, Horizontal and Vertical level screens, tap the speaker button at the top of the screen. When the sound is on, a tone plays about once a second while your device is level.
What is the lock for?
The lock freezes the reading so you can note it down or read it from another angle. Tap it again to resume measuring.
Why do I see ads?
Ads keep Planum available. The Circular level is always available; the other instruments open after a short rewarded video. If no ad is available, the instrument opens anyway.
How can I change my ad privacy choices?
Where the law requires your consent, a “Privacy options” button appears at the bottom of the screen, above the ad. Tap it to review or change your choices at any time.
How do I report an inappropriate ad?
Write to us at contact@tarikbelaid.com, describing the ad and when you saw it. A screenshot helps a lot.
Which languages is Planum available in?
Planum follows the language of your device where it is supported, and otherwise falls back to English.
Does Planum work on iPad?
Yes, Planum works on iPhone and iPad. The required iOS version is shown on the App Store.
