In short

Your measurements and the camera image never leave your device.

Planum has no account and does not send us any data.

Ads are provided by Google AdMob. Where the law requires it, Planum asks for your consent before ads can use your data.

Camera

The camera level and the inclinometer can show the camera image behind the guides. The image is only displayed live on your screen: it is never recorded, stored or sent. Camera access is optional, and you can allow or deny it at any time in Settings.

Motion sensors

Planum uses your device’s motion sensors to calculate tilt. The readings are processed in real time on your device; they are not stored and are not sent anywhere.

Data stored on your device

Planum keeps a small amount of data on your device: the number of times you have opened the app and the date of the last rating request, so that iOS can suggest rating Planum at a suitable time. Your ad consent choices are also stored on your device. This data is never sent to us and is deleted when you delete the app. Calibration and display settings are not saved.

Advertising (Google AdMob)

Planum shows a banner at the bottom of the screen and, when you open some instruments, a rewarded video ad. These ads are provided by Google AdMob.

To deliver and measure ads and to prevent fraud, Google may collect data such as your IP address (from which an approximate location can be deduced), information about your device and the app, identifiers, and your interactions with ads. Planum does not ask for permission to track you, so your device’s advertising identifier (IDFA) is not shared with Google.

In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, Planum uses Google’s consent form to ask for your consent before ads can use your data. Depending on your choices, ads may or may not be personalized. You can change your choices at any time with the “Privacy options” button in the app.

Apple and the App Store

Planum is distributed through the App Store. Apple processes the data related to your download under its own privacy policy. If you have chosen to share analytics with app developers, Apple may send us anonymous, aggregated statistics, such as the number of installations or crash reports.

This website

This website does not use cookies, analytics or advertising. Our hosting provider may process technical data, such as your IP address, to deliver the site and keep it secure.

Children

Planum is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to object to its use and to withdraw your consent. As we do not hold any personal data about you, requests about advertising data should be made to Google. You can withdraw your ad consent at any time in the app, and you can lodge a complaint with your data protection authority.

Changes

We may update this policy, for example if Planum’s features change. The date at the top of this page shows the latest version.
